Juventus delivered a commanding performance in their Club World Cup opener, achieving a 5-0 victory over Al Ain on Wednesday night. The Italian team saw forwards Randal Kolo Muani and Francisco Conceição each record two goals. The match began at the 11th minute when defender Alberto Costa supplied a pass that allowed Kolo Muani to head in the opening goal in front of 18,161 supporters wearing the team’s striped jerseys.
Soon after, Conceição displayed quick footwork to score inside the penalty area, making it 2-0. At the 31st minute, Kenan Yildiz increased the tally by finding the lower left corner of the net. In injury time, Kolo Muani added another, bringing Juventus to a 4-0 lead by halftime. In the second segment, Conceição sealed the win with a long-range strike in the 58th minute.
Al Ain, hailing from the United Arab Emirates, will meet Manchester City in Atlanta on Sunday. Juventus leads Group G by goal difference and will head to Philadelphia next to face Wydad in their bid to progress.
