Tiger Woods’ son made a striking impression at a junior invitational event in Bowling Green, Fla. The 16-year-old, whose dad is the renowned golf champion, posted a 6-under 66 in his final round at the Team TaylorMade Invitational organized by the American Junior Golf Association at the Streamsong Resort Black Course on Wednesday.

Facing a field of 71 players that included several top-ranked competitors, Charlie Woods exceeded expectations throughout the day. His round featured eight birdies and two bogeys, resulting in a combined score of 15-under 201 over three rounds. He wrapped up his final session with four consecutive pars, finishing three strokes ahead of rivals Luke Colton, Willie Gordon, and Phillip Dunham. His early play was equally impressive, beginning with a 2-under 70 in the first round and a second round of 65 that positioned him near the top at 9-under 135.

This success marks his inaugural AJGA title, a notable upgrade from a previous best finish of a tie for 25th at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in March. Charlie started the day among the frontrunners, and his promising skills have drawn considerable attention. His victory adds to an already growing list of accomplishments in his young career, which includes a win in the 14- to 15-year-old division at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Major Championship in June 2023 and another triumph at the Last Chance Regional tournament later that year.
