Barcelona announced a change in its Asia tour schedule after a promoter violated key contractual terms. The club has cancelled the planned match in Japan against Vissel Kobe set for Sunday. The decision came after it emerged that payments, which were assured for the team's participation, were not received. An insider familiar with the matter explained that missing funds forced the club to step back from its engagement in Japan.

In an official statement, Barcelona said a grave contract infraction prompted the cancellation. The club expressed regret over the cancellation, emphasizing the disappointment among its supporters in Japan. Notwithstanding this setback, plans for the South Korean leg of the tour remain in consideration. Barcelona is set to challenge FC Seoul on July 31 and prepare to compete against Daegu FC on August 4. The club will accept a revised South Korean itinerary only if the organizers provide clear guarantees that previous financial commitments will be honored.

After the Asian tour, the team is scheduled to host the Italian team Como on August 10 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. Shortly after, Barcelona will begin its defense of the LaLiga championship with an away game against Mallorca on August 16. This adjustment in the schedule is part of the club’s ongoing effort to maintain its commitments while protecting the interests of its community. Barcelona remains committed to its high standards, delivering exceptional performances amid unexpected challenges.
