Coastal Carolina launched their College World Series play with a 7-4 win Friday in Omaha. After a tie, three runs in the eighth shifted the game in their favor, and Dominick Carbone curtailed Arizona’s efforts in the ninth inning. The Chanticleers, boasting a 54-11 record and a 24-game win streak, have not played in Omaha since their 2016 finals victory. They will face Oregon State Sunday night. Coach Kevin Schnall stated, "We have a dugout full of hungry and humble dogs." The performance energized fans and revived team pride.
